Flying home for christmas

I'm back in Norway! Back home, back with my hubby!
After a really nice visit from Bjørnar, My and Lotte.
Bjørnar, My and I didn't sleep all night before we left for the aiport, as we had to leave at 3.15am.
I slept on the bus ride to the airport, and on the plane. And took some random photos.

It was nice to land in beautiful, snowy Norway, in nice and fresh air.

I got worn out big time from the trip, and now I'm ill again. Gah!
But it's so so nice to be back with my wonderful husband again.

We already had tickets for The Hobbit at 6pm on Saturday, and we were both super excited to see it.

It was so amazing!

We spent this day relaxing, and watching The Fellowship of the Ring.
Gonna keep on relaxing, keeping warm, cuddling and watching movies till I feel well again. And that is absolutely fine with me!

Loads of love,
Malin

Since last time I've been ill again, very, very tired, stressed, and had a lot on my mind!
I had a photo shoot with Mayors of Miyazaki on Saturday, and it turned out great! We had a great time, and it was a fun photo shoot. I'm working on the photos, I took a bunch of digital photos, some polaroids, and some with my awesome Hasselblad. I'll put some up once they're approved by the Mayors eventually!
They gave me two bottles of fine red wine for the job, so nice!

I've also been trying to work things out with school. I'll put up a longer post about this soon. It's very complicated stuff, ugh.

Other than this, I've been taking care of a sick little rat babe, done a tiny bit of christmas shopping the days I've been able to get out of the house, relaxed a bunch (as always), been really, really cold and done a whole bunch of knitting.

I'm going back to Norway tomorrow morning, to spend the christmas vacation with my wonderful husband, and my family. Excited!

Loads of love,
Malin

Pink garden

I hope you guys enjoyed yesterday's wedding post!
I get butterlies in my stomach every time I look at those photos!

Today I woke up still feeling rough, but still very restless, so after a bit of a lie in, some nice breakfast and a big cup of coffee I got my Polaroid 350 packfilm camera out, together with an old Polacolor film, and I decided to try it out in the garden. Cured a bit of restlessness and some of the creativity boost that's been going on in my brain lately!

I captured some naked trees and full bushes, and I was excited about how the images would turn out as the film expired in 2004!

I loved the results, 'cause they turned out pretty funky. Definitely gonna dig up some other super expired film soon and see what kind of other magic will come out.

I need to scan these bad boys to get some high quality duplicates, and I'll probably update with a little photo post as soon as I've gotten around to scanning them with a high res scanner.

Fingers crossed that I'll feel better tomorrow as I have a coffee date with my friend Kendra!
Time for a nice cuppa joe combined with some girly chats, it'll be well nice.

Loads of love,
Malin

Creativity whilst bedbound

I'm still very much bedbound, trying to fight off being ill with loads of rest and tea and vitamin c.

And I'm still restless, so I'm continuing keeping my hands busy with activities that don't wear me out. Like more knitting!

I also dug out some polaroids from a little while ago and decided to play around with editing them a bit. I'm pretty happy with the results.

More to come.

I feel pretty creatively inspired nowadays, and I'm aching to get outside and complete my project ideas. I have a lot of ideas that I really want to work on, so I'm hoping I'll be completely well very soon!

Coming Saturday I have a photo shoot with a friend of mine's band, Mayors of Miyazaki, and I'm pretty excited about that!

Loads of love,
Malin

Frost, crafts and bed

It's starting to get pretty cold here in London, with -2 celsius, and even frost on the ground!

Apparently this freezing weather combined with a trip to a hectic supermarket is too much for my body right now! So I'm back in bed in full relaxation mode, with a crappy throat, aching and an on-and-off fever. It seems like this cold/flu-like-ting/whatever isn't gonna let go of me just yet. Just gotta down a few more cups of tea a day with some raspberry flavoured vitamin c!

And a good breakfast with a nice cup of coffee is also important to both get me up, wake me up and warm me.

I must admit I don't hate staying inside our nice and warm house most of my time when it's cold and frosty outside, even though I hate the fact that I kind of have no choice right now.
I get so restless from it.
So, to cure my restlessness I started knitting (which is also kinda like therapy to me), and by now I have managed to knit through all the yarn I had in the house... One big ass scarf and two small ones.

So right now I don't really know what to do with my hands! I also started practicing my drawing somewhat, which is very much needed if I wanna become as good as I wish I was. Did a few dotty drawings the other day. I guess they didn't turn out too bad!

For now I'll just keep on taking care of my body and not stress too much.
I wanna get better ASAP so I can start getting stuff done!

Loads of love,
Malin

Problems

I meant to update with a long ass post about the wedding, but I had some problems with blogger, they're still going on, so I'm not gonna be able to post it yet. Unfortunately. I wanted to show you guys some of the great pictures and tell you about our awesome day, but it'll have to wait a bit. Soon, though!

I'm posting from my iPhone right now, sitting on the couch, chillaxing with my dear hubby and my mum and lil' sis.
The wedding day made a huge impact on my body, 'cause I wasn't in tip top shape as I had been ill for several weeks before.
It really took all energy I had in me, but it was so worth it.
Sooo, we've mostly just been relaxing, trying to figure some more stuff out, slept and rested loads, eaten loads, watched some movies and some series. And stressed a bit.

We still haven't worked out where to put ourselves. I'm so ready to get out of England and change to a different school, but I still don't know where, as I'm still waiting for a reply from an art academy in Italy. Fingers crossed that everything will work out as soon as possible, so we can settle down a bit, get a nice place in a nice country, and perhaps get a little puppy or bunny baby to share our love with!
We shall see.

But life as newlyweds is amazing!

Loads of love,
Malin

Lazyness

Alright, so I've been kinda really lazy lately, as I've been pretty exhausted and kinda apathetic.
Sorry about that!

I'll tell you a bit about the few things I actually have done though.

Daniel's packages with his records, CDs and movies came on the door, and when I was opening them the closest thing I could find to use to open them was a knitting needle. Of course I managed to cut myself on this knitting needle, and got a small cut wound. And when heating up a bowl of soup a little while after, I managed to burn myself on that, on the exact same spot as the cut.
So this resulted in this:

Ouchie.

I've put up Daniel's stuff on the shelf and all, together with some of mine.

I also went to grocery shopping on an empty stomach the other day, and ended up with loads of stuff I really wanted right there and then.
Like this soy vanilla milkshake (that turned out to be less tasty than I had imagined and hoped):

I also went out to The Fighting Cocks with Madelén, Natalie, Bailey, John and Eva on Saturday night, which was so so nice! It was good to hang out again, it's been a while.
I got a bit dolled up with some lipstick.

I did some practice with some proper stick and poke equipment as well, as I really want to start getting into the body modification industry. I'm pretty happy with the result!

I've had more cuddle time with my rats:

And I had some delicious Chinese take out. Mushroom chop suey with tofyu and crispy seaweed. Yumsies!

Tomorrow I'm heading back to London Tattoo to work there for the rest of the week! I'm filling in for Kendra again and it'll be nice to see everyone.

And next week uni starts!

Love,
Malin

Dress, room, relaxing

Yesterday I took the train into central to run some errands, as I mentioned in my previous post.

I spent ages at Topshop looking for a dress I saw online that I wanted to use as a wedding dress, but I couldn't find it. I did try on 4 other pretty dresses there though, but none of them ended up being the right one.

So, I decided to pop by Topshop's neighbour store, Miss Selfridge, and I found a beautiful one. I tried it on and it fitted perfectly! Combined with a skirt I'm pretty sure I'll completely rock it when I'm getting married. Hells yeah!
A tiny little hint (it's not white):

I spent some time walking around Soho, got myself a small falafel, and by the time I got home I was knackered. My body decided I had been using it too much, so I started feeling like I was getting the flu, which is usually what happens if I use too much energy.
Luckily a good night's sleep cured that, and after a grilled "cheese" sandwich and some coffee for breakfast, I had some energy again for starting to clear up the downstairs room Daniel and I are gonna live in! I vacuumed the whole room, the shelves, the super cosy chair and the extra rugs, and I also redecorated with the new furniture I bought last week. I moved the bed, the desk, put the wardrobe in place as well as the shelves, so it's really starting to look like something!

Now I just need to sort out all my stuff, I have so much knick knack that I don't even know what to do with.
I'll probably get around to throwing a bunch of it away, figuring out stuff to give to charity and see if there's something I can sell.
This is the problem with being a "collector" of small, cute stuff you don't need in any way. It ends up being far too much and just taking up space eventually.

No my body's kinda upset again after hours of vacuuming, pushing, lifting and moving, so I feel pretty exhausted and I've decided to spend some time in bed under the covers, with some coffee, Medusa and Medea on my bed, and some episodes of Scrubs. Yes please.
All that's missing right now is my man and cuddles.

Best wishes,
Malin

Napping and such

I ended up having a long nap yesterday as well, apparently my body is in desperate need of a switch off in the middle of the day! Hah!
So, I didn't get around to start moving into the downstairs room, as I ended up with a massive migraine like headache and had to switch of all lights and lie down with a cold cloth over my eyes before I fell asleep.
I did however get around to paying the VAT charges for some moving packages Daniel sent, as well as buying some good equipment so I can start piercing. It'll all arrive tomorrow, and I'm excited!
Luckily I'm feeling much better today and in a couple of minutes I'm off to run some errands.

But before that, here's a photo of Medea and Medusa fighting. Medea is in total control and they stayed in this position for about 5 minutes. Cuties, hah!

Also, every second Friday we get a box of local, organic vegetables. This fella was in the load of tomatoes. Hello there!

Now it's errand time!

Malin
