Christmas stress, recovery and gift certificates

The last few days I've been stressing out a bit about christmas gifts and such, but I got a bunch sent out today, so now all I can do is hope that they'll arrive in time for christmas eve.
Other than that, I've mainly been focusing on recovering from the flu/cold/throat infection thingie going on in my body. I've been pretty knackered, but I'm finally starting to feel well again!
Loads of tea with ginger and lemon is in it's place when I'm ill.

Also cute kitties.

Today Daniel and I have been doing some grocery shopping, and I've put up some gift certificate options in the Venus & The Moth shop!

Gift certificate worth 40 dollars

Gift certificate worth 20 dollars

There will be loads of new stuff coming up in the shop, probably right after the vacation, so expect to see new jewelry and loads of knitted goodies!

Loads of love,
Malin

Grey day

Today has been pretty boring, and I've been in a kinda weird mood, and I have no clue why.
I haven't really done much else than play magic piano on my sister's iPad, look at dresses for the wedding online and drooled over some stuff on etsy.
Oh, but I did find wedding rings for me and Daniel! Yet again, etsy is my friend!
They are perfect.

Oh! And also:
I've put up a load of new jewelry for sale in the Venus & The Moth etsy shop!

And I also cut my bangs. Not that you can see that very well in this photo.

Tomorrow will hopefully be a lot less boring! If the weather is nice I'll probably take my sister to the beach again, and in the afternoon I'm gonna meet up with my friend Andrea. I'm really looking forward, I haven't seen her in ages!

Best wishes,
Malin

Granite clay

Also, I've been spending the last couple of days experimenting with some granite clay that my mum got her hands on.
It's a very rough clay, with a stoney look, and it air dries!

I had some ideas, and tried out a few different things.
I made some rune pendants as I figured that suited the texture really well.
I also made a few blank pendants, some "stone" pearls, and a couple of pendants with some of the polymer clay teeth I've made.

I'm very happy with the results, and these will be up in the shop very soon!

Best wishes,
Malin

Shop up!

Ok guys, the Venus & The Moth shop is up and running! Yay!

This is exciting for me, and I'm so stoked and motivated to do this and to do it good.

Go have a look yourselves!

There's only a few pieces of jewelry up at the moment, but there will be more, trust me!
Eventually I'll also put up buttons, zines, knitwear and vintage/thrift treasures for sale.

Stay tuned!

Loads of love and best wishes,
Malin

Celebration, motorcycles and a possible heat stroke

So yesterday me and a bunch of friends celebrated Elise's birthday, together with her boyfriend that I met for the first time.
It was so so nice! There was homemade houmous, a bunch of carrots and some crisps so we were all in snack heaven.
We chatted and talked and goofed around, Arja and I dreaded the last of Rikke's hair, and I gave Elise a tooth necklace that suited her very well.

The night went by fast, and I spent a little while skyping with my amazing mr. man before I completely passed out in bed.

Some hours later I woke up and had to get ready for going down town and putting up the Deadly Nightshade stall.
This is what I looked like while I got ready, when I sent a photo to my boyfriend:

Mush mush. I know.

Apparently there was some kind of motorcycle parade in town for the day, so an hour or two after putting the stall up there was absolutely no chance of hearing what anyone else said. At all. Cause these guys likes to make some noise.

Some fancy old and new cars showed up in front of our stall too.

Eventually I ended up with exhaustion and a headache, so even though I originally wanted to both go to a Pink Floyd tribute concert and a BBQ I was invited to, I ended up staying home.

I'm learning to listen to my body.
Finally!

Best wishes,
Malin

Homemade vegan pizza a la mumma

Friday night was pizza night.
My mum makes the best pizza crust and sauce ever, and combined with fried mushrooms, garlic, red pepper, green olives, spring onions and cheezly super melty, it turned into pizza heaven.

Yummmm, the deliciousness.

Saturday it was time for holding a stall at the Seafood and fishing festival in my home town, Langesund. The festival itself is of course not interesting to me in any way as it involves slaughtering fish and other sea creatures and making dishes out of them, but the town center is always crowded with people for this occasion, so we were hoping for some good sales.
Unfortunately it didn't go too well... But I'm not complaining, it was super sunny and I got to chillax in my chair with some coffee and a slushie, so it wasn't too bad.

Peace and love,
Malin
