Dog cuddles and food

This feeling-of-getting-a-cold-thing does not seem to want to go away. I woke up feeling a little bit worse today, so I need some proper rest. I've spent all day inside, even though I wanted to go outside both to run a few errands and to get some fresh air, but I decided I'd just relax and take it easy inside.
Cuddles with Atlas, tea, some good food and some entertainment was what I needed today.

If I feel better tomorrow, it's definitely time for a walk in the park. I need to pick some more snowdrops as well!

Loads of love,
Malin

The Freedom Experiment

I wanna give you guys a little tip.
You see, my beautiful, lovely friend Marthe has the most amazing blog.
A blog really worth reading!
She is an amazing person, an amazing writer, and a big inspiration to me.
She writes mostly about lifestyle, personal development and dreaming big, and her aim with the blog is to help people with exactly those things!

Her blog is called The Freedom Experiment, and in her own words, it is about
"...giving yourself the freedom to be you. It’s about making tough choices, taking control, and following your dreams."

 The Freedom Experiment

She is currently located in Los Angeles, California, to work on her blog, and study life coaching. Which I personally think she would be perfect for!

She is an absolute sweetheart, and she gave me a free copy of her newly published eBook, Feeling Good when Life is Hard. I just started it, and it is absolutely amazing.

I highly suggest checking out her blog and buying a copy of her eBook for some inspirational reading!

Visit her blog here!

Since last time I've been ill again, very, very tired, stressed, and had a lot on my mind!
I had a photo shoot with Mayors of Miyazaki on Saturday, and it turned out great! We had a great time, and it was a fun photo shoot. I'm working on the photos, I took a bunch of digital photos, some polaroids, and some with my awesome Hasselblad. I'll put some up once they're approved by the Mayors eventually!
They gave me two bottles of fine red wine for the job, so nice!

I've also been trying to work things out with school. I'll put up a longer post about this soon. It's very complicated stuff, ugh.

Other than this, I've been taking care of a sick little rat babe, done a tiny bit of christmas shopping the days I've been able to get out of the house, relaxed a bunch (as always), been really, really cold and done a whole bunch of knitting.

I'm going back to Norway tomorrow morning, to spend the christmas vacation with my wonderful husband, and my family. Excited!

Loads of love,
Malin

Frost, crafts and bed

It's starting to get pretty cold here in London, with -2 celsius, and even frost on the ground!

Apparently this freezing weather combined with a trip to a hectic supermarket is too much for my body right now! So I'm back in bed in full relaxation mode, with a crappy throat, aching and an on-and-off fever. It seems like this cold/flu-like-ting/whatever isn't gonna let go of me just yet. Just gotta down a few more cups of tea a day with some raspberry flavoured vitamin c!

And a good breakfast with a nice cup of coffee is also important to both get me up, wake me up and warm me.

I must admit I don't hate staying inside our nice and warm house most of my time when it's cold and frosty outside, even though I hate the fact that I kind of have no choice right now.
I get so restless from it.
So, to cure my restlessness I started knitting (which is also kinda like therapy to me), and by now I have managed to knit through all the yarn I had in the house... One big ass scarf and two small ones.

So right now I don't really know what to do with my hands! I also started practicing my drawing somewhat, which is very much needed if I wanna become as good as I wish I was. Did a few dotty drawings the other day. I guess they didn't turn out too bad!

For now I'll just keep on taking care of my body and not stress too much.
I wanna get better ASAP so I can start getting stuff done!

Loads of love,
Malin

Problems

I meant to update with a long ass post about the wedding, but I had some problems with blogger, they're still going on, so I'm not gonna be able to post it yet. Unfortunately. I wanted to show you guys some of the great pictures and tell you about our awesome day, but it'll have to wait a bit. Soon, though!

I'm posting from my iPhone right now, sitting on the couch, chillaxing with my dear hubby and my mum and lil' sis.
The wedding day made a huge impact on my body, 'cause I wasn't in tip top shape as I had been ill for several weeks before.
It really took all energy I had in me, but it was so worth it.
Sooo, we've mostly just been relaxing, trying to figure some more stuff out, slept and rested loads, eaten loads, watched some movies and some series. And stressed a bit.

We still haven't worked out where to put ourselves. I'm so ready to get out of England and change to a different school, but I still don't know where, as I'm still waiting for a reply from an art academy in Italy. Fingers crossed that everything will work out as soon as possible, so we can settle down a bit, get a nice place in a nice country, and perhaps get a little puppy or bunny baby to share our love with!
We shall see.

But life as newlyweds is amazing!

Loads of love,
Malin

Love and mess version 2

Gosh, what a busy last month it's been! I've been traveling back and forth between Norway and London, I've been planning the wedding, figuring immigration stuff out, contacted schools, and I've tried to spend as much time as possible with my dear man. And of course still tried to somewhat relax.
So, as you probably understand, there hasn't been too much spare time to sit down and write blog posts.

Daniel and I are still trying to figure out what to do, but we have some ideas that we're really hoping will work out. We'll have to see, and it's still all a mess, but I know we'll work something out, one way or the other.

But we do have some amazing news: we are now MARRIED!
And it feels really awesome! I've never been happier, and I had the most amazing wedding day ever, with my lovely husband, my lovely family and my lovely friends.
I'll dedicate a post of it's own about the wedding, and hopefully it'll be up shortly!

Apart from that, I've been knitting a lot (knitting is like therapy for me), been even more frustrated about my current (unprofessional) university, I've been ill, we've been in Oslo for a short trip, we've hung out with friends and enjoyed each others company.

Another little session of photo updates for y'all. Prepare for loads of photos:

Malin

Dress, room, relaxing

Yesterday I took the train into central to run some errands, as I mentioned in my previous post.

I spent ages at Topshop looking for a dress I saw online that I wanted to use as a wedding dress, but I couldn't find it. I did try on 4 other pretty dresses there though, but none of them ended up being the right one.

So, I decided to pop by Topshop's neighbour store, Miss Selfridge, and I found a beautiful one. I tried it on and it fitted perfectly! Combined with a skirt I'm pretty sure I'll completely rock it when I'm getting married. Hells yeah!
A tiny little hint (it's not white):

I spent some time walking around Soho, got myself a small falafel, and by the time I got home I was knackered. My body decided I had been using it too much, so I started feeling like I was getting the flu, which is usually what happens if I use too much energy.
Luckily a good night's sleep cured that, and after a grilled "cheese" sandwich and some coffee for breakfast, I had some energy again for starting to clear up the downstairs room Daniel and I are gonna live in! I vacuumed the whole room, the shelves, the super cosy chair and the extra rugs, and I also redecorated with the new furniture I bought last week. I moved the bed, the desk, put the wardrobe in place as well as the shelves, so it's really starting to look like something!

Now I just need to sort out all my stuff, I have so much knick knack that I don't even know what to do with.
I'll probably get around to throwing a bunch of it away, figuring out stuff to give to charity and see if there's something I can sell.
This is the problem with being a "collector" of small, cute stuff you don't need in any way. It ends up being far too much and just taking up space eventually.

No my body's kinda upset again after hours of vacuuming, pushing, lifting and moving, so I feel pretty exhausted and I've decided to spend some time in bed under the covers, with some coffee, Medusa and Medea on my bed, and some episodes of Scrubs. Yes please.
All that's missing right now is my man and cuddles.

Best wishes,
Malin
